We’ve provided over 2500 free SIMs with internet access to people in Manchester, to help promote digital inclusion.
Thanks to the digital inclusion initiatives offered by Good Things Foundation, we were able to sign up our Manchester Libraries as UK Databanks. This means that we can give out SIM cards with free internet access to anyone who needs the support.
Here’s how some people have been using the free data provided by the Databank SIMs.
“I can do my university work and catch up to my deadlines now. It helps with the cost of living, and for the people that don’t have internet at home, this has been a lifesaver.”
“I can research and find knowledge for my student work. I am also able to talk to my supervisors when needed about certain questions".
