Digitober and Get Online Week

Celebrating Digital Opportunities Throughout Digitober!

Digitober will be taking place across Manchester during the month of October!

This month will allow Greater Manchester’s digital sector to showcase their amazing offers to residents who need digital help. We are working hard to progress our Digital Inclusion goals in line with Andy Burnham’s vision of Greater Manchester becoming one of the first regions in the world to equip all under-25s, over 75s and disabled people with the skills, connectivity and technology to get online.

There is already work underway to ensure that Manchester has the digital structure necessary to support a world class digital city, and we are looking forward to the completion of the UK’s largest Local Full Fibre Network Programme.

Check out what’s happening across Manchester during this month.

Digitober will of course go hand in hand with the superb Get Online Week initiative, set up by Good Things Foundation. If you’re interested in getting involved, all you have to do is #TryOneThing new between the 17th and 23rd of October.

Throughout the duration of this fantastic month, GMCA and partners will be sharing details of how residents can benefit from digital opportunities, so keep an eye out for upcoming twitter posts!
